I'm not really into posed pictures, but as I've said before I can do it. I like to think of this as a happy medium. Some of my most miserable childhood memories were of my mom making all of us kids stand still, smile, and pretend we liked doing it. So because there was a little boy who preferred to be running around playing, as we would all rather do, I chose a location he could run around fairly safely in, posed his parents in places he would want to climb and jump from.
The best pictures my mom ever took of my brothers were when they had climbed or done something crazy and victoriously looked back to make sure she was still watching.
I've learned that the best way to take a picture of a boy is to let him loose and run after him.
